Business as usual for FCM Argentina after partial acquisition of partner

FCM Travel Solutions has announced that there will be no change to management and client servicing in Argentina following the partial acquisition of the travel management company’s partner agency Biblos Travel SA by Brazilian loyalty program operator CVC Turismo SAU. 

Founded in 1978, Biblos is one of Argentina’s leading agencies providing corporate travel services, incentive travel, meetings and events management, as well as leisure travel services.

FCM Travel Solutions, became affiliated with Biblos Travel SA in 2010 to form FCM Argentina which is currently ranked in second position in IATA’s rankings for Latin America. The agency has a strong reputation for delivering best in class services and works with some of the most well- known private and public companies in Argentina.

FCM’s parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group, one of the world’s largest travel businesses with an annual turnover of US$14 billion, remains a significant equity owner in Buenos Aires-based Biblos Travel.

The transaction by CVC Turismo SAU, represents an important growth opportunity to the company, expanding and replicating its success model implemented and consolidated in Brazil. The transaction also strengthens the company’s position in the market with operational and
financial synergies with FCM.
