FCM Travel Solutions’ Matthew Heymans &
4th Dimension Business Travel Consulting’s Mike Cox Lead Panel Addressing Travel Program Success for Enterprise Businesses

Travel buyers who are attending GBTA and are at the helm of their company's travel program will want to mark their calendars for Monday, August 13 at 8:45 am. Flight Centre Travel Group has called upon top talent from two of its corporate brands to lead the important discussion around in-house versus outsourced travel management, or a combination of the two. Matthew Heymans, enterprise sales director with FCM Travel Solutions, together with Mike Cox, senior consultant with 4th Dimension Business Travel Consulting (4D), will bring their sage advice and expertise to this panel and address highlights of this ever-important topic.

When it comes to business travel for an enterprise company, managing in-house teams and outsourced consultants to get the best out of a program can be difficult. The two speakers will tackle what can often be seen as a challenge and bring best practices to the table to maximize savings and achieve success. With global teams and varying expertise, strategic action steps are needed to make the most of available manpower and deliver impressive results while utilizing both in-house and outsourced resources.

The educational 30-minute session with an emphasis on cost control will cover a bevy of topics, including leveraging the correct suppliers on a global level, achieving the ultimate balance with managing external suppliers and internal headcount, how and when to maximize the expertise of TMCs and consulting partners, utilizing technology, automation solutions and more.

Heymans and Cox have in-depth experience on the topic. With more than a dozen years under his belt focusing on multinational companies and helping them consolidate their regional or global travel spend, Heymans brings hands-on knowhow to the discussion. With a keen eye on technology enhancements, ultimately enabling more efficient service delivery, Heymans is an advocate for and avid user of new and emerging apps and technology. He is a firm believer that these will shape the future of the travel industry. He looks to bring the best in class on the tech front to the forefront of the business to benefit of FCM’s clients. Cox, with more than 25 years in the industry, has a well-rounded perspective having held diverse roles, including travel manager, travel supplier and as a consultant between the two. In his current role Cox works with multinational clients seeking to optimize their travel programs and translate success in travel management to overall company success.
