British Airways security screening delays at JFK

Travel News 23 Jun 2017

British Airways have been notified by the JFK Terminal 7 programme that during the next phase of construction from 22 Jun to end of Jan 2018 there is going to be a delay getting through security at JFK.  This will affect all World Traveller and World Traveller Plus customers on flights departing after 1700hrs.  British Airways are advising customers to allow an extra hour at the airport to ensure that they reach their gate on time.

It is anticipated that it will take longer than normal to complete security screening at New York JFK Terminal 7.  Please allow an extra hour at the airport to ensure that you reach your gate on time. This is due to the terminal improvement works currently taking place. The new, contemporary entironment planned by British Airways after construction will include a wider choice of food, new lounges for frequent flyers,  more outlets for duty-free shopping and a streamlined check-in process.
